• Question: is it true if a lizards tail got chopped off it would grow back

      yes! (e.g. geckos) – the idea is that a predator will attack the tail, the lizard then ‘sheds’ it and while it keeps wriggling for a few seconds, hte lizard can escape! it then regrows a tail (but with cartilage instead of bone) over the next few days/weeks… i don’t know if lizards can lose their tails twice!
