• Question: why are bee's furry?

      good question! i did a little internet search (thanks google!) – it’s only bumblebees that are furry (not honey bees) and being furry gives them two advantages: firstly the pollen sticks to the fur and so they end up bringing more pollen back to the hive to make into honey and secondly (and I think this is really sweet) it acts like a warm furry bee jacket so they can fly in colder weather than honey bees can! (bees can only fly if they’re warm)… Being able to fly in colder weather gives them more opportunities to collect pollen…
