      The way lizards grow their tails is slightly to do with their DNA. When the lizards tail breaks off, special cells called stem cells move to the stump that are able to turn into any different cells they like – such as muscle, skin or nerve cells.
      Their ability to have these special cells that know how to re-grow a tail would be in the DNA of the lizard.
