• Question: Apparently you hear your own voice deeper than others do, is this true? If so, howcome?

      That’s completely right! I don’t know about if its deeper but it’s definitely different. If you hear a recording of yourself speaking everyone always says it sounds funny.

      This is caused because when you speak, sound waves are carried by the air and so allow people to hear your words. If you speak to someone directly the sound waves are clear as nothing has got in the way. When you hear yourself the waves from your mouth have to travel to your ears in a less direct way, so the sound changes
