      To get into space a rocket needs to go fast enough to escape earth’s gravity – that’s called “escape velocity” and in physics you learn it as 11 metres per second…. that’s about 25000 miles per hour!

      Hi there! Another good answer Christina with a small typo – it should be 11 kilometres per second =) pretty fast!
