• Question: Is there any scientific explanation as to why England always has rain?

      The answer is yes, we can blame it on science =) or perhaps geography. Either way, the UK is surrounded by the sea (Atlantic Ocean and North Sea) which brings cold and moist air, but it also lies very close to mainland Europe which has warm and dry air. These two masses of air collide to bring wind and rain directly over the UK. If you think England’s bad with 85cm of rain per year, then spare a thought for Scotland which sees a whopping 150cm of rain each year!
