-What happens when you throw a green rock into the Red Sea?

The difference between an ocean and a sea is very small. An ocean is a “large body of water that are the largest division of open water” – 4 divisions in fact (the Indian, Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic Oceans).

A sea is a part of an ocean that is partially enclosed by land – e.g. the Mediterranean Sea can be argued as a part of the Atlantic Ocean that is surrounded by land.
