Question: Why do babies like to copy other people?

I can’t say I know very much (or anything) about this topic, but I suppose it’s because that’s how babies (of all species) learn how to do the things they need to do to survive! so for say baby cats, lions, tigers etc they learn how to hunt and groom themselves by watching their mum and then practicing with their siblings. And human babies learn how to speak, interact, smile, read emotions, eat, drink by watching their parents do it! and by playing…
