• Question: why do we sometimes get a switch if we run without a warm up

      Hi!

      Apparently there are two theories about why we get stitches when running – and no one knows which is right! (or maybe both are)… One is that the diaphragm (this is a big muscles stretching across our chests which helps us breathe) doesn’t get enough oxygen during exercise and then it cramps causing a stitch. The other theory is that it’s to do with not digesting your food properly…

      Either way I wish scientists would find out quickly as I get one every time I exercise!
