• Question: Why don't oceans freeze?

      Well they can freeze! the arctic ocean is frozen for winter! But oceans are much harder to freeze than lakes because a) they have salt in which lowers the freezing temperature of water (that’s why salt on roads in winter helps prevent ice) and b) they move a lot (currents, waves etc) which makes it harder for ice to form…
